Directory Submission using Firefox Autofill Add-on

The most tedious part of manual directory submission is filling up the long submission form of each of the directories. Methods like having the web site details like Title, URL and Description in Notepad and then copy and pasting them one by one does make it little easier but nothing remarkable. Following this method you can only submit to 20 odd directories in an hour and each directory taking 3 minutes minimum to submit.

Here I am going to describe a method that will make manual directory submission at least twice as much faster. I’m sure you are aware of the fact that submission to directories cannot be automated now because almost all directories have image verification or ‘captcha’ installed in the submission pages. Yes, there are Directory Submission Tools available in the market but they are far from automatic. In fact you can make your own ‘tool’ by following the method I am going to tell here and believe me that would be much more efficient than the ones available for $47 or more on the internet.

Things you will need –

1. Firefox Browser
2. Autofill Firefox Add on
3. A List of Directories

Now, here is the submission mehtod step by step -

1. Fire up Firefox and open the directory list
2. Find the Autofill tool in one of your Firefox toolbars and configure the settings. You can add as many fields as you wish. You must have at least the following fields -
   
   

   Name
   Email
   Web site URL
   Title
   Description
   Keywords

   
   
3. Now, with the directory list open, press the Ctrl button and keep on clicking each of the directory links. Don’t release the Ctrl button until you have clicked 5 to 10 of the links. This will open the individual directory websites in separate tabs. So, within seconds you can open up several directories simultaneously.
4. Now, go to each of the tabs and navigate to the most suitable category. Soon you will be on the submission page.
5. Now just click the Autofill ‘Pencil’ Icon from your Firefox toolbar. And instantly all the fields are filled up like a charm.  Now just enter the image code, if there is any and click the submit button. And you are done.
6. Move to the next directory.

Here is a great trick. Do not wait idle for a page to load. when a page is loading move to the next directory and start the submission process. and when it is taking time to load move to again to the next. After you have initiated all the directories come back to the first one and you will find that the page is already ready for the next step. This will save a lot of time.

another great tool you can use id RoboForm. It is, in fact, a password manager but could be transformed into a great Submission tool. and you can combine it with Internet Explorer 7 also. And RoboForm could be used not only to submit your website to directories but it can also be used for article submission, social bookmarking and search engine submission.
