Selection of keywords and using them effectively throughout your web pages – that’s on-page optimization for you in a nutshell. You should utilize your web page meta tags to the fullest extent especially the Title tag and the Description tag. Your main content should also contain your keywords and key-phrases you are targeting. The search engine spider follows a typical pattern when it crawls your web pages. You should design your web site to take full advantage of it.

Lastly, web promotion. Will there be a change ? The core will remain the same. There will be hardly any alternative to directory submission, article marketing through article submissions, social bookarking. In fact, social bookmarking, which is already a powerful back link provider, might just find more and more takers in 2008. Yes, I am sue there will be some improvisations and a few innovations in this field that might just surprise us.
